Our name “Aequitas Advocates” was carefully chosen for its rich meaning and drives our core values. It is the Latin name for “Equity” meaning what is right, just and fair.

It was founded by one of its Partners, Sheila Tumwine in February, 2007 as a multi- faceted law firm providing a variety of legal and business services in Uganda and the rest of the world.

The firm comprises a group of dynamic professionals of various experiences and disciplines ranging from Law and Business.
